Yeshiva University has teamed up with Hebrew University of Jerusalem for a New York City incubator that will foster connections as part of its plans for an entrepreneurial “superhighway” with Israel’s ecosystem.

Yeshiva University, a private US-based research university with an Orthodox Jewish ethos, has partnered Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJ)’s tech transfer office, Yissum, to launch YU Innovation Lab incubator, NoCamels reported on Monday.
YU Innovation Lab will function as a springboard for Israel-based startups and entrepreneurs looking to build connections in New York City, where Yeshiva’s main campuses are located.
The facility will offer business infrastructure as well as expertise from Yeshiva University students and access to mentoring, workshops and events.
News of Yeshiva’s partnership with HUJ follows a business trip to Israel where 20 of its undergraduate students met with local entrepreneurs and business executives.
The trip was conducted in partnership with Yeshiva University’s campus in Israel as part of plans for a “YU-Israel Superhighway” connecting the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems in both locations.
Stephanie Strauss, executive director of Yeshiva University in Israel, said: “By bringing students to see these companies and absorb their entrepreneurial energy, we make it easier for our students to envision their own futures in Israel and help them build connections and knowledge to make this future possible.”
