As part of his duties, he will have oversight of the Office of Technology Management. The office is run by Nichole Mercier, a previous guest on the Talking Tech Transfer podcast.
Carter will continue to serve as professor of practice in the McKelvey School of Engineering and Olin Business School. He has been at WashU since 2013, when he joined from National Science Foundation, having earlier worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
