Vetmeduni has joined forces with incubator Accent to boost resources for commercialising its veterinary research.

University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna (Vetmeduni) has signed up to Accent, a tough tech-oriented incubator focused on the state of Lower Austria.
Accent will offer Vetmeduni’s veterinary researchers access to resources such as networking to enable them to translate innovations into products that benefit both animal and human health.
Otto Doblhoff-Dier, the vice-rector for research and international relations at Vetmeduni, said the partnership was essential to its tech transfer efforts.
The move extends several years of collaborating with Accent which included the incubator’s participation in a Vetmeduni-backed research competition in 2018.
Jochen Danninger, Lower Austrian state minister of economic affairs, added: “As part of the cooperation between Vetmeduni Vienna and Accent, these technologies and innovations are to be embedded even more strongly in society and the economy.”
