Christophe Haunold has departed Institut national polytechnique de Toulouse to head up a new tech transfer office launched by University of Luxembourg.

Christophe Haunold (pictured) was unveiled as the first head of University of Luxembourg (Uni.lu)’s newly-created tech transfer office on Monday.
The Central Office for Partnership, Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) has been formed to enhance the industry, societal and market impact of Uni.lu research.
Haunold started the role on May 15, spearheading the new tech transfer office’s efforts to forge spinouts, licences and collaborations.
Uni.lu already has a handful of IP-based businesses, along with a startup incubator providing entrepreneurial resources. Its collaborations have attracted almost $22.7m in external funding during 2019.
Haunold joins KTT having led the tech transfer office at Institut national polytechnique de Toulouse (INP Toulouse) since 2004.
He started with INP Toulouse 1992 as an industrial relations research manager, a role he performed for the following 28 years.
Haunold has been vice-president of pan-European knowledge transfer association ASTP-Proton since 2017. He was also the deputy director-general of regional TTO Toulouse Tech Transfer from 2012 until April 2020.
