The deep tech-focused TTO invested $7.7m in its technology pipeline and more than doubled spinout generation year-on-year.

Satt Ouest Valorisation, the France-based tech transfer office for the Brittany and Pays de la Loire regions, spawned 11 spinouts in 2019, more than doubling its haul from the previous year.
The additions mean Satt Ouest Valorisation has now produced 59 new businesses since it was founded in 2012.
It claims to have transferred about 40% of its technology pipeline to date, through initiatives including industry partnerships.
The TTO invested a total of €6.7m ($7.7m) in its maturation programs, up from $5.7m in 2018, with almost one in two projects receiving at least $135,000.
A total of 34 licence agreements were signed in 2019, and Satt Ouest expects to return $12.4m on industry agreements struck last year.
