Imec.xpand has returned to back a series B round for sleep diagnostic developer Onera Health, spun out of Imec.

Onera Health, a Netherlands-based sleep diagnostic and monitoring technology spinout of Imec, has closed a €10.5m ($12.7m) series B round featuring the research institute’s venture capital fund Imec.xpand.
VC firm Innovation Industries led the round, with participation from biopharmaceutical firm Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Invest-NL, 15th Rock Ventures and Dutch state-owned regional development agency Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM).
Founded in 2017, Onera has created a medical-grade, at-home wearable device to treat sleep disorders, allowing the collection of data that is currently only possible in sleep clinics.
The spinout will use the series B capital to commercialise its products in Europe and the US.
