The Southern Launch incubator has co-working capacity for six local businesses and will also take on virtual members.

A new startup incubator based at Ohio University Southern (OUS) has opened its doors to six local businesses as part of the institution’s community outreach strategy.
Named Southern Launch, the program has been set up to address a shortage of operational space identified as a key concern for local startups through a recent OSU survey.
The hub will draw on resources through local incubator network Lights Regional Innovation. It has enough co-working space for six full-time residents but will also support virtual members who do not require physical space at the incubator.
Aside from the co-working space, Southern Launch provides access to coaching and workforce partnerships. Events in the initial calendar include the “Incubation 101” workshops led by Jennifer Simon, executive director of Lights Regional Innovation.
