NovaUCD, the innovation subsidiary of University College Dublin (UCD), has expanded its ecosystem with the addition of Evervault and MyStudyPal, respective cybersecurity and edtech technology developers, TechCentral.ie has reported.
Founded by UCD business and law undergraduate Shane Curran, Evervault is working on encryption software that is able to conceal encryption keys in networks that have already been compromised.
The company has secured contracts with multiple enterprise clients and is finalising a seed round of undisclosed size to help bolster its sales headcount and fuel R&D operations.
Academic timetabling app MyStudyPal was launched in September 2018 on the inspiration of biomedical, health and life sciences undergraduate Mark Nealon.
Nealon’s concept is intended to help students efficiently plan their study schedules with features including smartphone push notifications that remind the user of upcoming sessions.
