Augusta University has hired Northwestern’s Michael Moore as director of technology transfer.

Michael Moore, director of licensing and life sciences at Northwestern University, has been appointed director of technology transfer at Augusta University. He will join Augusta on June 1 to lead its Office of Innovation Commercialization. He replaces Carl Clark, who recently retired after 12 years as director of innovation commercialisation. Moore has been with Northwestern since 2004. He holds a PhD in biochemistry from University of California, San Diego. Chris McKinney, associate vice-president for innovation commercialisation at Augusta University, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mike as we seek out, protect, market and license the wide array of innovations developed by our creative faculty across the university. “He brings a wealth of knowledge to this position, and I am confident in his ability to facilitate practices to bring discoveries to market that will have a lasting impact.” – Image courtesy of LinkedIn
