IP Group has backed MobiLion Systems, a biopharmaceutical analysis instrument tool developer founded by its former director of technology and business development Melissa Sherman.

MobiLion Systems, a US-based molecule analysis instrument developer, yesterday raised $15.4m of series A capital from investors including commercialisation firm IP Group.
The round was led by diagnostics services provider Agilent Technologies with participation from superannuation fund Hostplus and venture capital firms Cultivation Capital and iSelect Fund.
