François Hédé has taken over as president of Linksium, succeeding Gilles Talbotier who had led the tech transfer organisation for six years.

François Hédé became president of Linksium, the Satt Network member responsible for university technology transfer in Grenoble and the Alpes region, yesterday to succeed Gilles Talbotier.
Hédé will oversee a team of 33, responsible for the knowledge commercialisation covering more than 120 research laboratories in a region with more than 16,000 researchers and PhD candidates. Linksium has launched 61 spinouts to date.
Talbotier had been president of Linksium since its inception in 2015. Hédé joins the organisation from pressure and temperature measurement technology supplier Wika, where he had served as a senior consultant for business development since early 2018.
He joined Wika through the corporate’s acquisition of internet-of-things technology developer Idosense, which Hédé had co-founded and led as president from 2015.
Hédé had already co-founded and led as president another startup from 2009 to 2012, wireless long-range semiconductor products developer Cycleo, which was acquired by analogue and mixed-signal semiconductors supplier Semtech.
Talbotier said: “The concept of technology transfer based essentially on the creation of deeptech startups was original in 2012 when we submitted the Satt Grenoble Alpes application. We can even say that it raised questions in many minds.
“Today, it inspires most of the other Satts, by transforming startups into the spearhead of industrial renewal, particularly in the field of innovation.
“I am delighted with this changeover and note that the economic and societal impact of this launch is already being felt. I am pleased to hand over to François, who I have no doubt will be able to develop the model to its full potential.” [translated from French by Global University Venturing]
