The rest of the 100 (in alphabetical order): CY Lau, executive director and chief investment officer, UG Capital Management, the co-manager of Technion Venture Fund

When Technion–Israel Institute of Technology committed to setting up the $200m Technion Venture Fund in 2017, it turned to CY Lau’s UG Capital Management, a unit of fund management company United Gain Investment (UGI), to collaborate on the scheme.
Lau has been executive director and chief investment officer since he founded UGI in 2003, following roles in the investment management industry and at corporations, including chipmaker Intel. He is also managing a hedge fund and a range of portfolios for a group of high-net-worth individuals.
The Technion Venture Fund is being co-managed by UGI, which leads the charge in the US and Hong Kong, and Genesis Partners, the latter team assisting the initiative from Israel.
The fund focuses on science and technology companies with links to Technion. One of its first investments was security startup Regulus Cyber’s $6.3m seed and series A funding round in May 2018.
