Every day, Global University Venturing rounds up the smaller investments from across the university innovation ecosystem in its deal net.

HashPort, a Japan-based blockchain consulting service, has secured ¥350m ($3.3m) from University of Tokyo Edge Capital Partners’ UTEC Fund IV and media company Ceres. FourJaw Manufacturing Analytics, a UK-based industrial software developer spun out of University of Sheffield, has raised a six-figure sum (£100,000 = $140,000) from SFC Capital an unnamed venture capital firms and angel investors, Bdaily reported yesterday. The money will drive company expansion. FourJaw’s software enables real-time insights into a company’s manufacturing activities.
