Every day, Global University Venturing rounds up the smaller investments from across the university innovation ecosystem in its deal net.

HT Materials Science, an Ireland-based heat transfer technology developer spun out of University of Salento, closed a €2m ($2.4m) seed round yesterday led by a $1.2m commitment from investment fund Progress Tech Transfer (PTT). Enterprise support agency Enterprise Ireland also took part, as did unnamed accredited investors.  HT Materials Science produces heat transfer additives intended as an energy-efficient source of running chillers, heat pumps and other heating, ventilation and air-conditioning units. The seed cash has been allocated to business development with a focus on the US and Europe, and to refine its core technology and product offering. Alberto Calvo, a partner at PTT, has joined the board of directors.
