India-based challenger university Atria University has launched a VC fund contest for aspiring students aged from 16 to 18.

Atria University, a privately-owned university in India espousing a liberal paedagogical ethos, has raised a venture fund of undisclosed size to invest in young students who win its business competition, India Education Diary reported on Thursday.
The contest will draw to attention concepts from students aged between 16 and 18 years old, fostering innovation across the five core subjects on Atria’s syllabus: digital transformation, energy sciences, interactive technologies, mobility and sustainable life sciences.
The best three entries will secure working space in Atria University’s Business Incubation Center, along with mentoring and a funding cheque for Rs3m ($400,000).
The submission window remains open until May 17, with the finalists to be unveiled five days later.
Founded in 2019 by diversified conglomerate Atria Group, Atria University emphasises proactive learning and training, operating from a campus in India’s tech epicentre of Bangalore.
